High Stakes on the High Seas: How Club Royale Rewards Loyal Players
The Casino Royale Royal Caribbean experience operates differently than land-based casinos, relying heavily on a player's trackable loyalty points. Players earn points based on their theoretical loss and time spent at slot machines or table games during their cruise. For every $5 checked into a slot machine or $10 into a video poker machine, players accumulate one tier point, while table game points are rated by the pit boss based on average bet size and duration of play.
As of August 15, 2026, Royal Caribbean has streamlined its tracking technology, utilizing contactless SeaPass cards and upgraded digital interfaces at every slot cabinet. These quality-of-life updates allow players to track their tier points in real-time via the official Royal Caribbean app, eliminating the need to stand in long lines at the casino host desk to check balances.
Navigating the 2026 Benefits: Free Drinks, Waived Fees, and Instant Certificates
For the 2026 sailing season, the most coveted perks remain locked behind the Prime and Signature tiers. Once a player crosses the 2,500-point threshold to reach Prime status, they unlock free drinks while actively playing in the casino—a benefit that can save hundreds of dollars on a week-long cruise.
Key rules to maximize your gaming utility on board include:
- Convenience Fees: Avoid the 5% cash-out fee on slot machines by setting up a personal PIN linked directly to your SeaPass account.
- Instant Certificates: Keep an eye on your physical mailbox and digital app inbox; high-volume players frequently receive "Instant Cruise Certificates" before their current sailing even concludes.
- Point Rollover: Remember that the Club Royale tracking year runs from April 1 to March 31. Points earned during your current 2026 cruise will determine your status through the following year.

What Lies Ahead for Royal Caribbean Gaming in 2026 and Beyond
As Royal Caribbean continues to expand its Oasis-class and Icon-class fleets, the physical footprint of Casino Royale Royal Caribbean venues is reaching unprecedented scale. The upcoming launch of new mega-ships later this year and into 2027 will feature completely smoke-free casino annexes, directly addressing one of the most common complaints from cruise passengers.
Additionally, joint promotions between land-based casino partners (like MGM Rewards) and Club Royale are set for an overhaul by late 2026. This partnership restructure aims to provide seamless status matching, allowing land-based high rollers to instantly qualify for complimentary staterooms on select Caribbean itineraries. Keep your membership profiles updated to leverage these upcoming cross-promotions.
