Super Troopers 2 Cast: Where The Fan-Favorite Comedy Ensemble Is In 2026

The cult-classic success of Super Troopers 2 continues to resonate with comedy fans as the iconic Broken Lizard comedy troupe maintains a strong presence across streaming platforms, live tours, and television in 2026. Originally funded through one of the most successful film crowdfunding campaigns in cinema history, the sequel reunited the hilarious Vermont State Trooper squad while adding heavy-hitting Hollywood talent to the mix.

How Broken Lizard Reunited the Original Squad and Expanded the Highway Patrol

The journey to assemble the super troopers 2 cast became legendary in Hollywood financing history. After years of fan demands, the comedy troupe Broken Lizard launched an Indiegogo campaign that raised over $4.6 million, proving the massive demand for a follow-up to their 2001 original hit. When the sequel premiered, it brought back the full core team while strategically expanding the roster to build out a border-dispute plot in a fictional Canadian town.

Returning veterans included primary writer-performers Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske. The sequel also brought back screen icon Brian Cox as Captain O'Hagan and Lynda Carter as Vermont Governor Jessman. To elevate the sequel's comedic friction, the production recruited high-profile additions, including Rob Lowe as former hockey star turned mayor Guy Le Franc, alongside Emmanuelle Chriqui, Tyler Labine, and Will Sasso as rival Canadian Mounties.

From Vermont to Streaming Success: Career Trajectories of the Comedy Lineup

Since the release of the sequel, members of the super troopers 2 cast have built impressive individual and collective footprints across the entertainment landscape leading into 2026:

• Jay Chandrasekhar: In addition to fronting Broken Lizard, Chandrasekhar has solidified his position as one of television's premier comedy directors, helming episodes for major network sitcoms and streaming hits.
• Kevin Heffernan & Steve Lemme: The duo channeled their on-screen chemistry into co-creating and starring in the firefighter comedy series Tacoma FD, which earned a massive fanbase across cable and streaming. They continue to headline sold-out stand-up tours together.
• Brian Cox: The veteran Scottish actor reached a career pinnacle playing Logan Roy in HBO's critically acclaimed series Succession, cementing his status as one of modern Hollywood's most revered dramatic talents while retaining a soft spot for his comedic roots in Super Troopers.
• Rob Lowe: Following his memorable role as "The Guy" in Super Troopers 2, Lowe has remained a dominant television presence, hosting popular podcasts and leading long-running broadcast network dramas.

Super Troopers 3 and Beyond: What Lies Ahead for the Broken Lizard Franchise

As of August 2026, fan speculation remains high regarding the long-discussed third installment in the franchise, tentatively titled Super Troopers 3: Winter Soldiers. Broken Lizard members have repeatedly confirmed that a script has been in active development, keeping the door open for another round of highway antics.

In the meantime, audiences continue to keep Super Troopers 2 high on streaming charts via major digital platforms. Broken Lizard continues to operate as a tightly knit creative unit, frequently making joint appearances at fan conventions and embarking on live comedy tours. Whether through a third feature film or new independent projects, the chemistry that defined the Vermont Highway Patrol remains as potent today as ever.
